San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel has been traded to the Washington Commanders for a fifth-round draft pick. The trade is set to become official on March 12, 2025, aligning with the start of the new league year.

Samuel, 29, had requested a trade earlier this offseason, seeking a fresh start after a season where he recorded 51 receptions for 670 yards and three touchdowns. His versatility and playmaking ability are expected to bolster the Commanders' offense, complementing Pro Bowl wideout Terry McLaurin and quarterback Jayden Daniels.
